About Imertia
imertia.com was started in early 2025 as a virtual reality startup pushing the boundaries of manufacturing for wearable robotics. Because of his love for technology and problem solving, Marshall used his diverse engineering experience to expand Imertia into a resource for innovation consulting, product design, and advanced manufacturing.
Our Approach
From conception through manufacture and distribution, we help our clients manage the project planning, research and multidisciplinary design required to build the best product for their customers. To conserve your budget, we only charge for hourly services and a standard material markup for prototypes manufactured in-house.
Meet Marshall
Growing up with two tech entrepreneur parents, Marshall was always immersed in software and innovation in a fast-paced environment. He eventually fell in love with biochemistry before transitioning to electrical engineering, and finally earning his master’s degree in mechanical engineering with concentrations in aerospace, controls, and object dynamics.
Sustainability and efficiency are core to our practice, and we are passionate about solving challenges in the medical, robotic, OEM, and consumer technology sectors. Over the past decade, Marshall has happily helped more than a dozen clients with his creative, organized and uniquely effective perspective on problem solving. Especially when delivering on short and stressful timelines, one of his abilities is to stay calm and pivot at critical moments.
Marshall’s other interests include education, nature conservation, strength training, and home automation. He shares a manufacturing studio located in Doylestown, PA with his partner, a ceramicist and artist.
Studio Space
Marshall’s studio features several in-house manufacturing capabilities mostly targeted toward additive prototypes, electronics, simulations and software. He specializes in FDM & SLA printing using the latest Bambu Lab and Formlabs technologies, plus the design and assembly of PCBs for full-stack hardware and software integration. For projects beyond the capabilities of his Doylestown location, Marshall also interfaces with a network of other vendors and contractors.
